Privacy Policy

This policy covers messyscripts.dev, the Messy Scripts store, and the tools Messy Scripts uses to manage its own YouTube channel. Messy Scripts keeps as little data as possible.

Purchases

Checkout, payment and delivery are handled by Tebex, our payment provider and reseller. When you buy a script you sign in with your Cfx.re account and pay on Tebex's checkout page, so your payment details go to Tebex, not to us. Tebex shares order details with us (such as your Cfx.re username, email address and what you bought) so we can provide support. Tebex's own privacy policy covers the data it processes.

Your cart

Items you add to the cart are saved in your own browser's local storage so they're still there when you come back. That data stays on your device; we don't receive it until you check out.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages and videos bring visitors. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other sites, and doesn't collect personal information.

YouTube videos

Product pages show a video thumbnail. The video player only loads from YouTube (using youtube-nocookie.com) when you press play, at which point YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

YouTube channel management

Messy Scripts uses a private tool, connected through Google's YouTube Data API, to update the titles, descriptions, tags and thumbnails of videos on the Messy Scripts YouTube channel. It is used only by the channel owner, on the channel owner's own videos. It doesn't access, collect or store data about any other YouTube user. The access it's granted is stored privately and can be revoked at any time from the Google account's third-party access settings. Its use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and the YouTube Terms of Service.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
